Mai werden Prof. Dr. Andrea Ribeiro Hofmann (Katholische Universit\u00e4t Rio de Janeiro, Brasilien) und Dr. Prakash Bhattarai (Centre for Social Change, Nepal) f\u00fcr etwa zwei Wochen an unserem Institut zum Thema &#8222;Democracy Promotion Negotiation&#8220; forschen. W\u00e4hrend ihres Aufenthaltes in Frankfurt konzentrieren sich die beiden auf ihren Beitrag f\u00fcr die geplante Sonderausgabe des Netzwerks.<\/p>\n<p>Andrea ist Professorin f\u00fcr internationale Beziehungen an der Katholischen Universit\u00e4t Rio de Janeiro. Sie promovierte in Internationale Beziehungen an der Universit\u00e4t T\u00fcbingen und war von 2008 bis 2010 Gastdozentin und -wissenschaftlerin in der Abteilung f\u00fcr Internationale Beziehungen der London School of Economics, Gastprofessorin und -dozentin an der Universit\u00e4t Erfurt von 2010 bis 2012 und an der Freien Universit\u00e4t Berlin von 2012 bis 2015. In ihrer Forschung hat sich Andrea bisher unter anderem auf internationale Organisationen, Legitimit\u00e4t und Demokratie auf globaler Ebene und regionale Integration in Europa und Lateinamerika konzentriert. Sie wird vom 17. bis 27. Mai bei uns im Institut als Gastexpertin arbeiten.<\/p>\n<p>Prakash ist derzeit Pr\u00e4sident des Centre for Social Change (CSC), einem gemeinn\u00fctzigen Forschungs- und Interessenvertretungsinstitut mit Sitz in Kathmandu, Nepal. Er promovierte in Friedens- und Konfliktforschung an der University of Otago, Neuseeland und h\u00e4lt Masterabschl\u00fcsse der Tribhuvan University Nepal in Population Studies, sowie der University of Notre Dame in International Peace Studies. Prakash war Gastwissenschaftler im Department of Peace and Conflict Research der Uppsala University, Schweden (April &#8211; Juni 2013). Seine wichtigsten Forschungsgebiete sind Gewaltlosigkeit, friedliche Staatsf\u00fchrung, Migration und shrinking space. Prakash wird uns vom 17. Mai bis zum 1.
