
Roman Stolzenberger

Roman Stolzenberger is currently a prospective political scientist and lecturer at the Julius-Maximilians-University Würzburg. He is preparing his doctorate in the realm of “autocratization promotion” together with Prof. Dr. Sonja Grimm at the Julius-Maximilians University Würzburg.
Before starting his consecutive Master’s program in the winter semester of 2021, he completed a Bachelor’s degree in the same subject from 2017 to 2021, also at the Julius-Maximilians-University Würzburg. Roman’s Bachelor’s thesis, completed in 2021, also under the supervision of Dr. Christoph Mohamad-Klotzbach (Julius-Maximilians-University Würzburg), was titled “Democracy Promotion Strategies of USAID in Afghanistan and the D.R. Congo: A Comparative Study Based on a New Analytical Framework”.
Since the end of his Bachelor’s studies, Roman concentrated on the promotion strategies of emerging democratic powers such as India and Brazil. Another area of focus is foreign policy analysis and democracy research. His Master’s thesis, under the supervision of Dr. Christoph Mohamad-Klotzbach and Prof. Dr. Sonja Grimm, is titled “Democratic Emerging Powers and External Democracy Promotion: Democracy Models in the Promotion Efforts of India and Brazil”.
