We are happy to announce that Christine Hackenesch has joined the EDP Network as a member and are looking forward to working with her.

Christine is a Project Leader and Senior Researcher at the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS) in Bonn. she co-leads the research project Megatrends Africa as well as a project on the role of the European Union as an actor in global development. In her research on the intersection of international relations and comparative politics she particularly analyses China’s external relations and their impact on political regimes in Africa. Additionally, Christine addresses European democracy promotion and the influence of right-wing populist parties on European foreign and development policy.
