We are happy to announce that Vanessa Boese has joined the EDP Network as a member and are looking forward to be working with her. Vanessa Boese is an expert on the measurement of political institutions, on democratic resilience, on processes of regime transformation and on how these processes interact with conflict, or socio-economic outcomes. She works as an assistant professor at V-Dem Institute in Gothenburg, Sweden, and holds a PhD in economics which she obtained in summer 2019 from Humboldt University of Berlin.

Her findings are regularly published in journals such as British Journal of Political Science, International Studies Quarterly, Political Science Research and Methods, Democratization, and the Journal of Political Institutions and Political Economy.
