Climate scenarios need to provide more detailed political conditions in order to be more realistic. The article „Achievements and challenges of global future scenarios“, co-authored by EDP mamber Julia Leininger, identifies gaps and needs to improve future scenarios. Opening up global future scenarios to different research communities, integrating ideas and theories of societal and political transformation as well as regionalization are well needed!
