Our EDP member Tina Freyburg joined the annual agenda meeting of the Network on Democratisation, Decentralisation and Local Governance (DDLGN) of the Swiss Agency for Development (SDC) on January 24, 2019 in Bern, Switzerland. In this meeting, the annual review of 2018 as well as the outlook on 2019 were presented and discussed.

Tina acted as a discussant and took the opportunity to highlight network members’ work particularly on shrinking civic spaces and state capture. She also introduced and distributed the EDP network’s joint PRIF report on “Democracy Promotion in Times of Uncertainty. Trends and Challenges“, which was published in late 2018.
